Behind the lens of our photo shoot: Macsen the dog

Since we first posted this photo, some people have been asking about the dog in it. His name is Macsen, after Macsen Wledig in Dafydd Iwan’s popular Welsh song “Yma o Hyd’.
We adopted him from the Dog’s Trust 11 years ago and was told that he’s a cross between a Jack Russell and a West Highland Terrier.
The lovely thing about the photo is, that it wasn’t planned. Macsen was quietly sitting and watching,
Megan and her brother Macsen (yes, there are two Macsen’s in the photo) being photographed and he just walked over and sat in front of them and started smiling (of sorts) at the camera.
It was a total surprise to everyone and is now a really special photo. We didn’t realise how big a Cwtchie fan he was!
