5 Things to do in your Cwtchie to boost your happiness this week!
April 17, 2023The nights are drawing out – but the weather is yet to warm up! This week the team at HQ are looking at fun activities to try in our super cosy Cwtchie hoodie blankets.
1) Star Gazing
Why not try an awesome evening under the stars? The website Go Stargazing offers wonderful advice on the best conditions to enjoy an astronomical treat, including public dark-sky discovery sites and light pollution maps. It’s often possible to see thousands of stars with the naked eye in your own garden, especially just either side of the full moon.
Cosy up in lots of layers and your cloud soft Cwtchie for a celestial feast!

2) Make some S’mores!
When you’ve found Orion’s belt, loosen yours and make room for some delicious camp fire treats! Simply toast large marshmallows and sandwich between two half coated chocolate biscuits for a delicious snack indoors or outside. And if they get sticky chocolate on their Cwtchies? No problem! Wash on low a temperature and air dry for the next adventure!

3) Cook up a Ramen
Hands up if you arrive home too tired to cook but want a healthy family dinner? Or need to dash out again soon for football or gymnastics?
Try this super simple one pan recipe that takes 5 minutes to prepare and has dinner on the table in under 20 minutes!
Ramen for 2:
Place into a pot
Two sheets or nests of noodles, broccoli and mushrooms. Add a protein of your choice (tofu, cooked chicken, raw prawns). Add a tablespoon of soy sauce and a teaspoon of sesame oil for each person eating. Cover in stock, bring to the boil then simmer for a further 10 minutes. Garnish with spring onions and pickled ginger.
While it’s simmering, change into your Cwtchie and enjoy a relaxed, cosy dinner. With just two bowls and a single pan to wash, there’ll be time to put your feet up too!

4) Family sofa night
Shattered after a busy week? Kids overwrought and no longer able to be reasonable? It could be time to switch off the devices and have some cosy time on the sofa. Why not get your pjs and Cwtchie hoodies on and try one or more of the following to chill out and recuperate?
- Hand or head massages and mini manicures
- Tell each other a funny story from your week – keep a video log of your favourites
- Have a board game tournament
- Make ‘bits and pieces’ popcorn from sweeties or chocolates left in the cupboard and enjoy a family film.
- Make a blanket fort and read by torchlight – sleep in it if you dare!
- Recount a favourite family memory and recreate a selfie to remember it

5) A Walk through the woods
According to the Woodland Trust, walking in the woods has a calming and restorative effect on the mind. The stress hormone, cortisol, lowers and there can be benefits to mental and physical health. Why not bundle up warm in your Cwtchie and make the most of the longer evenings with an after work walk to raise the spirits and lower the blood pressure?
